The tools

The counters and learn essays on Count My Page are free of charge for informational purposes. You may use them personally or professionally, and you may share direct links to any page. You may not scrape the site, republish the counter code as your own tool, or embed the counter inside another site’s frame without permission.

Accuracy disclaimer

Counts may differ from Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or the target platform’s own counter due to hidden characters, section-break handling, footnote inclusion, or tokenization differences. When it matters for submission (an application, a contract, a legal filing), refer to the target platform’s own counter as the source of truth.

Third parties

We host on Pressable, run analytics via Cloudflare, and serve ads via Ezoic. Affiliate links to Grammarly, ProWritingAid, QuillBot, and Scrivener earn a commission when you buy through them. See the privacy policy for cookie details.

Liability

The counters are provided as-is. We are not liable for a rejected assignment, a truncated tweet, a missed word limit, or any downstream consequence of a count. Always verify against the destination system before you submit.

Changes

We update these terms when the tools materially change. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
