What counts toward the 150
Every visible character in the bio field: letters, digits, punctuation, spaces, emoji, and manual line breaks. Category labels and contact buttons are separate and do not count. The one clickable link (or the Linktree in your link-in-bio) does count.
Writing rules that fit 150
- Lead with the offer or category, then the proof, then the CTA.
- Break into three short lines. Fourth line is the link, no character cost.
- Emoji count as 2 each. One well-chosen emoji is usually enough.
- Keep the bio and the profile category doing different jobs; do not duplicate.

Common questions
Do line breaks count?
Yes. Each newline in the bio is one character.
Does the URL field count toward 150?
No. The link-in-bio URL is a separate field.
Does the display name count?
No. The name field is 30 characters and is separate from the bio.
Are emoji counted differently?
Most emoji count as 2 characters. Compound emoji can count as 5 to 11.
